Rolls and Rivalry by Kristy Boyce was a fun, fast read. A cute YA romance with childhood friends/rivals, and really fun supporting characters.

I didn’t have much exposure to marching band culture, but that wasn’t a problem. I did wonder briefly near the beginning if I was like Hazel’s mom, but for choir. I do love singing in choir and volunteering as a choir booster parent, but I’m not very competitive.

I’ve enjoyed all of Kristy Boyce’s D&D-themed books, but I think my favorite is still Dungeons & Drama. But then, I was I theatre kid.
